PUPPIES

At Storyline Border Collies, our goal is to produce puppies with stable, thoughtful temperaments, excellent health, and the potential to thrive in a variety of venues, whether that’s performance sports, conformation, or as an active companion. Every breeding is carefully planned with purpose, prioritizing structure, soundness, and the hallmark intelligence and biddability of the Border Collie.

Our puppies are raised inside our home, surrounded by the daily rhythm of family life, other animals, and plenty of enrichment. From an early age, they are exposed to a variety of sounds, textures, environments, and experiences to help shape them into confident, curious, and adaptable young dogs. We are committed to giving each puppy the best possible start so they are well prepared for life beyond our home.

PLANNED LITTERS

We plan to breed Story late 2025 for early 2026 puppies. The stud will not be announced until pregnancy is confirmed. This pairing has been carefully selected and we expect puppies that will have medium/high drive, and medium energy. Health and temperament are of the upmost important.

We are hoping for conformation and performance prospects as well as active pets from this litter. Only black and white rough coats expected. If you are interested in learning more, please contact us or complete a Puppy Application.

FAQs

How do we raise our puppies?

Our puppies are raised in our home using ENS and Puppy Culture protocols. From an early age, they’re introduced to a range of sights, sounds, scents, and experiences designed to help them grow into confident, well-adjusted dogs. They are raised around other dogs and cats and will have as much exposure to new experiences as is safe for them. We also lay the groundwork for important life skills like crate training and potty training before they head off to their new families.

How much does a puppy cost?

Puppy prices are dependent on a few factors, including but not limited to stud fees, costs for health testing, costs related to the breeding, etc. We do not price based on color or sex, but prices may vary across litters. Please reach out for more info on pricing.

Do we take deposits?

We do not accept deposits. All puppies are placed based on best fit, not first come first serve. If you are interested in a puppy from our program, please reach out via email or Facebook and/or complete the puppy application to start a conversation.

How do we match puppies?

Puppies are matched to homes based on many factors. It is extremely important to us that puppies go to homes that will fulfill their physical and mental needs. We also place puppies based on that home's goals for them; whether they are looking for a conformation prospect, a performance dog, or an active pet. To make the best decision for each puppy, puppies are matched to their homes at 8 weeks old based on temperament and structure. If you have a strong preference, I will do my best to take that into consideration, but please understand that as their breeder, I know these puppies and their needs best. The goal is always to find life-long homes, which is why we follow this process.

How often do you have puppies available?

Because our dogs are our pets first, we do not have a large number of breeding animals. We currently only breed when we are looking to add to our program, so we do not have many puppies available. Please reach out to discuss timing if you are interested in adding a puppy to your home.

Do we sell on co-owns?

Companion puppies (pets) will be sold on limited registration with a spay/neuter contract that must be honored between 18-24 months of age. These puppies will not be sold on co-own contracts. Show prospect puppies will be sold with full registration and I will remain on as a co-owner to ensure they are raised to our standards. Co-ownerships can vary based on the owner’s and my goals and will be discussed thoroughly in advance.
